'Max And The Gorilla Goon Squad'.

Max And The Gorilla Goon Squad is the story of three gorillas, Frank, Sal and Earl, on the run for a murder they did not commit. Along the way they meet a young boy, Max, with a big heart and an adventurous spirit. Together they must try and prove the gorilla's innocence as well as solve the mystery of Max's missing father.

Max is the son of the city's most eccentric inventor. An only child, Max has always found companionship with animals, hence the special connection he shares with the gorillas. But there is more to it than meeets the eye. Always keen for an adventure, and spurred on by his fathers love of exploration, Max can be found in any part of the city navigating the nooks and crannies with confidence.

Frank is the 'silverback', the leader of the group, and it is he who first befriends Max. Frank is a fearless leader who will stop at nothing to protect what he feels is right or just. He feels a certain amount of indebtedness towards the professor and was, infact, widely accepted to be his right-hand-man.

Sal is the wise guy of the group, always sceptical until he's seen it for himself. He likes to present himself as a tough guy but is really a gentle soul at heart. Tries to be street savvy but is secretly conflicted about his instinctual feelings towards nature. Even though he was one of the professors first recruits, Sal never quite formed an as strong a relationship with the man as Frank and Earl did, due in large part to his conflict with authority figures. Sal favors a casual approach towards life and is easily irritated by annoying complications.

Earl is a kind and gentle gorilla, with an easy-going, laid-back attitude. Sal calls him the 'brainy' one, as his knowledge and grasp of any subject is way above average. Earl's calm temperament is only ever challenged by Sal's over-active outbursts and it's up to Earl to put Sal back into place. He enjoys the finer things in life but is still fascinated by everything the world has to offer. Earl follows loyally but is not affraid to speak up and suggest a better option.

Max And The Gorilla Goon Squad is the creation of Kevin Richter, who is also responsible for the writing and production of all the artwork. Kevin currently works for The Sun newspaper in the United Kingdom, working on their online comic 'The Premier'.
